At CESJDS, the Arts are woven into the fabric of our school experience. From music and theater to dance, visual arts, and design, our students are encouraged to explore, take risks, and find their unique voices. We believe that speech, sound, movement, and image are powerful forms of expression—often even more impactful than words or numbers. Through the Arts, students strengthen their communication, creativity, and empathy as they engage with the world and each other.

From their earliest years through senior year, CESJDS students are immersed in artistic opportunities both in and beyond the classroom. Whether it’s the sound of a student ensemble filling the auditorium, original artwork displayed in our hallways, or the excitement of our annual Blecher Family Arts Chai Lights festival, the Arts are central to our school identity and our community celebration.
