Does CESJDS offer transportation?

Bus Transportation

CESJDS offers an extensive school bus transportation program allowing us to meet the needs of our families from neighborhoods in Maryland and Washington, DC. Our bus routes currently serve the following communities: Kemp Mill and Silver Spring, Rockville, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, and Washington, DC. In an effort to increase transportation coverage, we offer group bus stops. Herbi e Epstein, Director of Security and Transportation, works with new families to accommodate new stop requests when possible.

*As a reminder, Gurim students are not eligible for transportation services. MD State Law prohibits Gurim students from riding the school bus.

Carpool

Students attending CESJDS may also be dropped off and picked up from school as well as ways to find families with whom to set up a carpool.

Does CESJDS provide aftercare?

Does my family need to be Jewish to attend CESJDS?

CESJDS welcomes any student who is being raised Jewishly. This includes families who are entirely Jewish, interfaith families, and families in the process of choosing to be Jewish. As a pluralistic school, we partner with families from many different backgrounds who are all raising their children as Jews and who are committed to providing their children with an outstanding and inspiring independent, pluralistic Jewish day school education.
