Known internationally for excellence in academics and as a leader in contemporary Jewish education, Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School develops confident and compassionate students in a welcoming, inclusive community.
The community of approximately 950 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12, and 200 faculty members at CESJDS represent the full spectrum of Jewish backgrounds, beliefs, and practices and hail from over 20 different countries. The CESJDS faculty are gifted thought leaders who advocate inquiry, creativity, and collaboration, so that in the classroom students can respectfully challenge each other to think deeply and critically.

CESJDS financial aid resources and policies reflect the school's mission to make a Jewish day school education affordable and accessible to a broad range of families.
CESJDS provided $6 million in tuition assistance to 45% of students this school year.
