Health and Exercise Science
Becky Silberman
The Health and Exercise Science Department emphasizes that achieving and maintaining optimal levels of personal and communal health and wellness is an ongoing process, which must be sustained throughout a lifetime. We believe that self-responsibility is the key to successful, proactive health care. Health and exercise is critical for adolescents and adults in the 21st century. Our courses challenge students to communicate effectively and appropriately with peers, collaborate, learn healthy social skills in unique environments, and make healthy and informed decisions about their own personal fitness and wellness. Students have an opportunity to participate in fitness and team sport activities to find enjoyment in leading healthy active lifestyles.
