Advisory

Advisory is a time and space where students and faculty will embrace the value of k’hillah/community. Advisory groups are carefully designed small communities led by trusted members of the faculty who will plan and implement meaningful lessons to foster k’hillah. There will also be opportunities for students to discuss and think through their role and responsibilities in the larger school community. During advisory, students will hear announcements, discuss upcoming programs/events, celebrate birthdays and other milestones, and reflect on important issues that arise.

Each advisory will have a class representative who will serve on the Middle School Knesset. Knesset will meet with the Middle School administration regularly to share feedback and discuss topics that are raised by the students and faculty. In addition to being the voice of the student body, class representatives will play a more active role in planning and organizing school activities, programs, and events.
