Libraries

The role of our Upper and Lower School libraries is to enrich the intellectual life of the school. Our librarians and library media specialists work to create lifelong readers and learners comfortable in an information-rich world. The CESJDS libraries are more than just resource collections – we offer dynamic library programs and services that emphasize both research skills and pleasure reading.

Gudelsky Library at the Lower School

Our collection contains approximately 19,000 items including works of fiction and nonfiction, picture books, reference books, videos, audiobooks, magazines, and newspapers. Destiny, our online catalog, provides 24/7 access to the library collection, as well as web and database search tools. Our library has six computer workstations with access to educational software for both Hebrew and English applications.

Levitt Media Center at the Upper School

The Upper School Levitt Media Center collection consists of more than 14,000 items in English and Hebrew, including books, periodicals, newspapers, DVDs and computer resources on secular and Judaic subjects. The library also offers computer access to its online catalog, online databases and digital resources.
