Arts

All students are artists.  Whether holding a camera, a paintbrush, a mound of clay, a musical instrument, a sheet of music, or a script, we want to foster a student’s creative expression.  The benefits of studying the arts are many: students who study the arts grow up to be more effective communicators, more confident problem solvers, more appreciative of cultural histories around the world, more empathetic, better collaborators, and more involved in their community.  As we know, images, speech, sounds, and gestures are all languages just as powerful - if not more so- than numbers and the written word; to study the arts is to gain a dynamic ability to understand one’s self and interact with the world on a deeper level.
