Bioengineering a Prosthetic Hand
Students in Bioengineering classes took on a project with real-life implications: 3D printing a prosthetic hand for a CESJDS community-member. Kimberly Agzigian, Science Department Chair, connected students with her niece, Kasey, who was in need of a low cost prosthetic option. The class researched design and functionality, and after applying many technical man hours, and with help of STEM Teacher, Terrilynn Platt, Kasey’s prothstetic hand became a reality.
