Come make a difference at this prestigious community day school! The School seeks qualified candidates for the position of part-time Administrative Assistant at our Upper School campus working M-F, 10 hours/week (2 hours/day).

Job Purpose:

  • Provide administrative support to members of the Upper School Administrative Team, faculty and staff.
  • Serve as a responsive resource and point of contact for guests, staff members and students.
  • Be knowledgeable about Upper School and all school policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and collaborative environment, which promotes comfort and confidence in those we support.
  • Work as one member of an essential team where continual communication, planning, collaboration and mutual support are key to the department's success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily coverage at the front desk of main office for the receptionist's lunch break. Create and provide a welcoming space to visitors, students and staff, ensuring the Upper School front office, reception area, and waiting area are kept in a neat and welcoming condition.
  • Provide full-day coverage for front desk when receptionist is out sick.
  • Serve as a responsive resource and point of contact for guests, staff members and students.
  • Document daily Student Attendance, late arrivals and early dismissal information in PowerSchool.
  • Monitor Room Reservation Requests for classrooms and shared spaces.
  • Distribute and post mail, log packages, and coordinate package delivery through maintenance.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and participate in assigned Administrative Assistant team tasks.
  • Collaborate and meet with Upper School Administrators as needed to support projects and planning within the different curriculum areas.
  • Participate, as assigned, in all safety drills and actual events.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of professional practice through training, professional development, best practices, feedback and innovative solutions.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required based on prior successful work experience.
