Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country Each Take 1st Place at PVAC Championship

Yesterday was an exciting and historic day for CESJDS Cross Country. Both the CESJDS Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams Won the PVAC Championship with 36 and 39 points, respectively. It is only the second time in the 28 year history of the PVAC that both the boys and the girls have won in the same year.

After the past three years of finishing 7th, 6th, and 6th place, the girls team took a huge leap forward by taking home 1st place this year. A huge shout out to the overall race winner 9th grader Sophia Miller (21:03), who chopped nearly 3 minutes off her mid-season champs time less than a month ago (23:50). 9th grader Sally Rogal (6th place), 8th grader Julia Peppe (11th place), 8th grader Ariana Ravitz (14th place), and 10th grader Izzy May (15th place) rounded out the girls scoring.

The Boys Team won the PVAC title for the 4th straight year, and was led by a scoring team of 12th grader Daniel Weiss (2nd place), 11th grader Zev Katz (3rd place), 11th grader Max Stravitz (6th place), 10th grader Josh Diewald (9th place), and 11th grader Benjy Kruger (16th place).

Congratulations to both Champion teams!
