Middle School Boys and Girls Cross Country teams take 1st and 3rd at PVAC Championship Meet

Congratulations to our Middle School Boys and Girls on their 1st and 3rd place performances in the PVAC Championship Meet!

The Boys Team set the All-Time PVAC Middle School & JDS record with their 1-3-4-5-6 (19 points) finish to win their 8th consecutive PVAC championship and stay undefeated in the PVAC this decade. Only 7 seconds separated our top 5 boys - truly an example of a pack running mentality that they have demonstrated all season. The boys team's historic finish was led by overall winner Gabe Molkner (12:06), 3rd place finisher Yoni Liebstein (12:08), 4th place finisher Charlie Fingerhut (12:10), 5th place finisher David Fritz (12:12), and 6th place finisher Brandon Portnoy (12:13) as our boys took 10 of the top 13 places in the race.

The Girls Team matched their 3rd place performance from last season with a total of 70 points despite two of our top runners (Julia Peppe and Ariana Ravitz) being bumped up to the high school level! The Girls were led by 13th place finisher Shani Schwartz (14:57), 14th place finisher Rebecca Safra (15:05), 15th place finisher Eva Bard (15:17), 16th place finisher Daniela Abrams (15:20), and 21st place finisher Ellie Hasenberg (16:20).

Both of our Middle School teams will go on to compete in the Maryland Private School State Championship this Thursday.

Congratulations to all of our middle school runners for an outstanding job!
