Lower School STEM and Science Coordinator Dr. Alexis Soffler, teachers Jessie Nathans and Erin Magee along with The George Washington University's researcher Beth Short just returned from presenting about our inter-organizational collaboration and our nationally innovative STEM integration model at the National Science Teachers Association STEM expo conference in Philadelphia. Sharing what we do and how we do it on the forefront of STEM education is an exciting part of our work with GW and our teacher leader cohort. The presentation highlighted a research-practitioner partnership between an elementary school and a university to design a curriculum using Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) crosscutting concepts as a through-line for integration.
