Follow the group of 10 CESJDS High School Spanish students, and their teachers, as they travel around Argentina through their student blog! This trip is designed to explore the life and culture of Buenos Aires, including Jewish Buenos Aires, to gain first-hand experience with a Spanish-speaking country, and to visit a Jewish day school and be hosted for a night by a Jewish day school family.
I'm Jake Block and I'll be writing the first blog post for the first ever Argentina trip!! After over 14 hours of being in the air, we finally arrived in Buenos Aires early Monday morning. Although we were all tired, we were excited to begin our busy day. We spent today visiting the northern area of Buenos Aires called Recoleta. There we toured one of the most famous cemeteries in the world and Argentina's top tourist attractions. Afterward, we enjoyed classic Argentinian gelato where most of us enjoyed Dulce De Leche. Lastly, we visited the Japanese Gardens and Latin American Art museum to conclude our day. After a long day of traveling and sight seeing, we all went to a pizzeria just a block away from our hotel where we ate the best pizza I have ever had (truly).
