Dr. Alexis Soffler Nominated as Nationally Influential STEM Educator

Dr. Alexis Soffler, Lower School Science & STEM Coordinator, was nominated as a nationally influential STEM educator by the faculty at George Washington University and received one of 30 spots for a full scholarship and stipend to the 100Kin10 STEM Summit. The Summit is an annual gathering of organizational leaders from universities, school districts, and federal agencies dedicated to understanding and shaping programs to navigate systemic challenges standing in the way of excellent STEM teaching. Dr. Soffler's nomination and recognition as a valued participant speaks to the strength and influence of the CESJDS STEM program and is a another beneficial facet to the school's collaboration with GWU as we partner forward to understand and influence STEM education in our school and at a national level.
