The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School is seeking candidates to fill the position of Upper School STEM Coordinator (grades 6-12) for the 2017-2018 academic year. The successful candidate will work directly with the Director of Instructional Technology and the Upper School Administrative Team and faculty to develop and implement exciting STEM experiences and curricula that foster creative thinking and innovation across our Middle School and High School divisions.

The ideal candidate will

• excel in teaching STEM-related content at both the middle and high school level
• have experience designing and articulating middle and high school STEM curricula and programming
• have experience organizing professional development opportunities in STEM education, and
• have experience integrating STEM learning experiences across subjects.

The successful candidate must possess an advanced degree in either Education or a STEM-related field and/or a STEM certification with a minimum of five years teaching STEM or a STEM-related field at the middle and/or high school level. Ability to coach Robotics is preferred but not required.
