Jessica Nassau Named Maryland State Director of the Journalism Education Association

Jessica NassauJessica Nassau, CESJDS Director of Publications, has recently been named the Journalism Education Association's (JEA) Maryland State Director. JEA is the largest scholastic journalism organization for teachers and advisers. In addition to serving as the adviser of The Lion's Tale and Dimensions yearbook, Ms. Nassau has made many community contributions, including:

  • serving as a judge for Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CPSA) last summer, writing critiques of high school newspapers from around the country;
  • helping to coordinate Journalism Day at the University of Maryland while serving as a board member of the Maryland D.C. Scholastic Press Association; and
  • judging the Washington Post's Teacher and Principal of the Year contest.
