CESJDS students won a total of 7 best speaker awards at the Junior State of America Fall Convention in Iselin, NJ!

Congratulations to:

  • Caroline Weinstein (10th Grade) for a debate on whether the District of Columbia be granted statehood.
  • Amelia Davidson (10th Grade) for a debate on whether France's policy of secularity is repressive.
  • Caleb Gershengorn (12th Grade) for a debate on whether FIFA should take the 2022 World Cup away from Qatar.
  • Ezra Loeb (11th Grade) for a debate on whether the U.S. needs the Philippines as an ally.
  • Jonathan Foldi (12th Grade) for a debate on whether people should be allowed to obscure their identities online.
  • Jonathan Foldi (12th Grade) for a debate on whether college roommates should not be able to discriminate against potential roommates based on race when looking for housing partners.
  • Jonah Loshin (11th Grade) for a debate on whether Hillary Clinton is a true liberal.
